Problems with B-On in "eduroam" network ? (June 29, 2010)

Due to a recent change in "eduroam" network, users from this network must use our Web Proxy service to access B-On content without restrictions. This information will be removed when problem is solved.

Wireless access, authentication and configuration

Full acess to the internet requires 802.1X authentication. If you are a student or teacher at IST the authentication is performed using the Central Authentication Service username and password (Fenix credentials).

Coverage (September 2007)

The wireless network is available in almost all areas of IST, at both the Alameda and Tagus Park campuses on the eduroam SSID.

Requests for improving coverage in specific areas must be sent by mail to wifi-cobertura@ist.utl.pt, with a clear specification of the precise location and access problems experienced (no signal at all / weak signal / signal without connection).
